CITRIX
Today a number of organizations' remote access solutions consist of a patchwork of diverse solutions such as Outlook Web Access, VPN and Terminal Services. Consequently, employees find it difficult to keep track of the various access methods while your organization's IT staff is burdened with the task of maintaining each component separately. Citrix Metaframe Access Suite overcomes these limitations by delivering a single, integrated and consistent solution that:
- Gives workers secure, easy and instant access to enterprise applications, information, processes and people, no matter where they are located, from anywhere, at anytime, using any device, over any connection.
- Enables IT staffs to manage heterogeneity by enabling the centralized management of applications, simplifying their deployment, monitoring and measurement.
- Ensures that only the right people have access to the right resources to protect the security of enterprise information assets.
The MetaFrame Access Suite consists of the following components:
- MetaFrame Secure Access Manager
- MetaFrame Password Manager
- MetaFrame Conference Manager
- MetaFrame Presentation Server (formerly known as XP)
Each component product solves a particular access challenge for an organization, while all of the components work together seamlessly to power the on-demand enterprise.
Premier Technology Solutions has helped a number of clients streamline their remote access solutions by implementing the Citrix Metaframe Access Suite. Often clients are faced with remote access and secutiry related issues, such as not being able to access Citrix through a hotel’s firewall or by needing to give direct access to disparate systems and thus allowing for security compromise. To address these challenges, Premier Technology Solutions recommends implementing a secure web interface using Citrix technology for accessing the firm's applications or content. Users connect to an encrypted web page and access all of the organization's applications and content, including the full Presentation Server desktop, over an SSL connection. The result is that users can access any application from any location and the firm's IT department can focus their efforts on maintaining a single remote access solution.
